#1 Cloud-based Ambulatory EHR in the Country | Practice Fusion

Ranked #1 EHR

For the second year in a row, SK&A has listed Practice Fusion as the most widely used cloud-based EHR among physician offices in its Physician Office Usage of EHR Software annual report. The research firm also notes in the report that Practice Fusion is the fourth largest ambulatory EHR vendor in the country, with 6.34% share of the U.S. ambulatory healthcare market.

Practice Fusion’s best-of-breed, ONC-certified EHR platform facilitates over five million patient visits a month. Moreover, Practice Fusion’s EHR platform supports a growing community of more than 30,000 practices with leading edge tools to help healthcare professionals deliver better patient care.

The latest SK&A report reinforces Practice Fusion’s commitment to providing a fully-connected EHR platform that helps make healthcare better for everyone — not only doctors and patients, but also for labs, pharmacies, imaging centers, health systems, and other members of the healthcare ecosystem. At the same time, Practice Fusion is focused on developing high-quality solutions to enable practices to grow and thrive, especially independent and solo practitioners.

In the coming months, we look forward to introducing new features that will help make it easier for practitioners to participate in value-based care initiatives, including the programs below introduced under MACRA and the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program:

  • The Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS).
  • Alternative Payment Models (APMs).
  • Meaningful Use Stage 3 for Medicaid.

During the rest of 2017, we’ll be adding new capabilities to help support tracking quality measures and reporting them, along with new tools to help optimize practice performance.

About the SK&A report

According to SK&A, the annual report “is based on telephone interviews with 296,834 medical offices between September 2016 and February 2017. The sites represent about 600,000 physicians from 58 practice specialties. Office staff and business managers respond to up to 20 questions related to EHR purchase, usage, brand and intent. SK&A has been measuring the adoption of electronic health records since 2010 and provides historical data, trending and mapping.”
